Need for restoration of non-carious cervical lesions – A literature review

In present scenario, restoring non-carious cervical lesions (NCCLs) is clinically common. Major reasons for this are increased elderly population, the decreasing levels of tooth loss, and possible increase in etiologies. These factors poor brushing technique due to which gums recede, consumption corrosive foods beverages, occlusal stress concentrators (occlusal disorders, premature contact, clenching, bruxism habits. Unfortunately, Class V restorations known be less durable type they have high index retention marginal residues secondary caries. Other problems include isolation, insertion, cutting, finishing, polishing. The work aims help dentist choose best treatment strategy, mainly involves stages problem identification, diagnosis, elimination or etiological if require restoration. Finally, appropriate recovery methods suggested each situation.
